Historique :	A été trouvée lors des fouilles faites dans la crypte de l'église.Rapport de Marcou le 7 avril 1912 : Invité à assurer l'immobilisation d'une tête de Christ en pierre, du XVIIe siècle, classée dans l'église Sainte-Aphrodise de Béziers, où elle est simplement posée sur l'appui d'une fenêtre de la crypte, M. l'architecte Nodet propose de placer ce morceau de sculpture sur un cul de lampe qui serait incrusté dans l'ébrasement d'un pilier et l'y sceller au moyen d'un goujon en cuivre. Nous vous proposons d'autoriser ce petit travail et d'accorder la somme de 75fr21 nécessaire à son exécution.Rapport d'Henri Nodet du 17 février 1912 (objet des travaux : arrangement et scellement d'un fragment de sculpture pour un montant de 75fr25) : La Tête de Christ est actuellement simplement posée sur un appui de fenêtre le long du passage circulaire qui enveloppe la partie centrale de la crypte. Nous proposons de la sceller au moyen d'un gouzon en cuivre sur un cul de lampe en pierre qui serait incrusté dans l'ébrasement d'un pilier c'est-à-dire au-dehors du passage de circulation. On l'apercevrait à droite en venant dans le sens de la flèche au point A [dessin schématique joint]. Tout autre emplacement est obscur.
