Description :	Armoire asymétrique, c'est-à-dire à un grand vantail à gauche et, à droite, une partie à hauteur d'appui, fermant à deux vantaux, surmontée par quatre étagères ; à gauche, un tabouret à deux pieds appuyé contre la partie à grand vantail. Les portes sont agrémentées de cuir repoussé à motifs végétaux, dans le style Art Nouveau.

Historique :	Léon Cauvy (Montpellier 1874 - Alger 1933), formé à l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier, produit, au début de sa carrière, à la fois des peintures et des pièces de mobilier. Il participe aux salons de la Société des Artistes Français et obtient une bourse pour la villa Abd-el-Tif, équivalent de la villa Médicis, en 1907. Séduit par la ville blanche, il s'installe à Alger qui lui inspire de nombreux tableaux. Nommé directeur de l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts d'Alger, il devient l'une des figures majeures de la création artistique orientaliste.
