Historique :	Plaque commémorative portant une inscription latine commémorant la fondation d'un lieu de culte à l'emplacement de l'église actuelle par une certaine Ranilo, 'Vierge vouée à Dieu'. Une autre Ranilo désignée comme 'famula Dei' est connue par une inscription découverte en 1893 au Mas-des-Ports, près de Lunel (Hérault). Le fragment le plus important a été découvert au début du 20e siècle par l'abbé Ouradou, le second en 1940.
